Air Source Heat Pumps

Ideal for businesses of all sizes, Air source heat pumps (ASHPs)
offer a highly efficient, eco-friendly solution for heating and cooling commercial properties in Northern Ireland.

Providing year-round reductions in energy

and carbon emissions for your business

An Air Source Heat Pump extracts heat from the air outside and will act as the sole heat source to provide heating and domestic hot water for commercial businesses.

Their efficiency ratio is rated at between 350 to 430% which means for every 1kw used in electricity to run the heat pump, the remaining 2.5 to 3.3kw comes from the air outside.

In comparison a typical oil or gas boiler is around 90% efficient (new models). Our heat pumps come with an impressive warranty and lifespan for peace of mind and are the most efficient heat pumps on the market.

What Are The Benefits Air Source Heat Pumps
For Commercial Businesses?

High Energy Efficiency

High Energy Efficiency

Efficient Heating and Cooling: ASHPs can both heat and cool any business premises, using significantly less energy than traditional electric or fossil fuel-based systems. For every unit of electricity used, they can produce 2-4 units of heating or cooling, making them highly efficient.

Reduced Energy Consumption: By drawing heat from the outside air, ASHPs use a renewable source of energy, leading to lower overall energy consumption compared to conventional heating systems.

Lower Operating Costs

Lower Operating Costs

Reduced Heating Bills: Due to their high efficiency, ASHPs can significantly lower heating costs, especially when replacing electric, oil, or propane heating systems.

Eligibility for Incentives: Many governments offer rebates, grants, or tax incentives for installing ASHPs, making them more affordable and improving return on investment.

Seasonal Savings: ASHPs provide both heating in winter and cooling in summer, eliminating the need for separate systems and potentially reducing maintenance and operational costs.

Environmentally Friendly

Environmentally Friendly

Reduced Carbon Emissions: ASHPs produce fewer carbon emissions compared to traditional fossil-fuel-based heating systems, making them a more environmentally friendly choice.

Renewable Energy Source: By extracting heat from the air (a renewable source), ASHPs contribute to reducing dependence on fossil fuels, supporting sustainability goals and helping to combat climate change.

Year-Round Comfort

Year-Round Comfort

Heating and Cooling in One System: ASHPs can provide heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer, offering year-round comfort with a single unit. This dual function can be especially valuable in regions with varying seasonal temperatures.

Consistent Indoor Temperature: ASHPs provide steady, even heating, which can lead to a more comfortable indoor environment without the fluctuations often experienced with traditional heating systems.

Why Use Air Source Heat Pumps?

Using an air source heat pump (ASHP) for your business provides several benefits, including high energy efficiency as they extract heat from the outside air to provide heating and cooling, resulting in significant energy savings. ASHPs lower operating costs over time and offer year-round climate control.

They are sustainable options, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and minimising greenhouse gas emissions, which supports environmental and sustainability goals. Additionally, our ASHPs can link to the b4b Renewables Solar PV solution to provide the energy needed for operations, which will lower your costs even further.

With fewer moving parts, ASHPs are reliable and require low maintenance, further enhancing their long-term value for businesses.
