Geothermal collector pipes are buried in trenches to extract heat from the ground for heat pumps. The type of pipe and trench layout depends on the situation.
The pipework is placed in trenches, around 1.2 metres deep. Straight pipes have longer and narrower trenches than slinkies.
It is not enough to just have enough space to accommodate the trenches, you must also have space to put the earth temporarily while the pipes get laid so that they can be re-buried.
