1. What support is available for businesses in Northern Ireland looking to adopt renewable energy?
The Energy Efficiency Capital Grant (EECG) offers funding of up to £150k to help businesses in Northern Ireland purchase and install energy-efficient equipment.
The level of support is determined by company size and covers the total eligible project costs. This grant is available to registered businesses trading in Northern Ireland for at least 2 years.
2. What projects are considered under the EECG?
Examples of projects that will be considered for the grant include:
- Heating and cooling equipment
- Motors and drives
- Compressed air
- Lighting
- Onsite renewable generation
Businesses can apply for up to 3 projects (at the same location) in a single application.
