Challenge:

Carryduff Surgery faced escalating energy bills. As a surgery, they required the lights to be on throughout the building during the daytime: “We only operate during the daytime, so finding a solar solution to meet our needs during this time was our requirement.”

They required a solution to reduce their electricity expenses while maintaining consistent operations.

Solution:

For this application, b4b analysed the surgery’s recurring bills and calculated the kWh requirement from the Solar PV arrays and, as a result, installed a custom Solar PV array to meet the surgery’s daytime energy needs.

The Solar PV panels generate 400kWh, covering most of the surgery’s energy demand, meeting the need of its daily operations.

Results:

• 60% reduction in annual energy costs
• Significantly decreased reliance on grid electricity
• Increased the operational efficiency of the medical practice
