Ryan Daly

Daly Renewables – Director

Ryan is an engineer through and through, solution driven and never letting a problem beat him. His early days coincided with the arrival of heat pumps in Ireland, meaning Ryan literally got to know the industry from the ground up, tweaking and re-engineering systems to attain optimum efficiency.

Ryan’s passion for low energy technologies in the built environment stemmed from his Ulster University days where he studied and excelled with a first class honours in his Environmental Engineering degree. Ryan’s first job in the renewable energy field involved commissioning systems in residential homes and he found himself having to re-engineer systems to solve issues. This turned out to be a critical and sound grounding for Ryan in the industry and from there he developed the Daly Renewables approach and process to system design and installation.

It was through his time working with companies such as VMRA Consulting Engineers, Vaughan Engineering and Scoffield Specialist Services, that he identified a gap for an engineer-led integrated approach to renewable energy systems. Ryan forensically looked at how renewable systems had been installed in Ireland in the mid 2000’s and went about designing systems and sourcing sustainable and reliable products so that future clients would have a system which would last the test of time. The insight that led to this approach resulted in Ryan being awarded as the NI Enterprise, Trade and Investment ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ and Daly Renewables as the local council’s (Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council), ‘Best New Business’, both within the company’s first year in 2011.

In the last 10 years the company has consolidated its position as a key player in the market in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and has expanded operations into Scotland and England.

Renewable energy and sustainable living is a passion of Ryan’s and principles which he integrates into his family life.

Seamus McKillop

Daly Renewables – Managing Director

Our Managing Director, Seamus was a founding partner of Semple & McKillop, which became one of the largest and most successful independent MEP Consultant Engineering companies operating across the island of Ireland.

Seamus completed the sale of Semple & McKillop Ltd in 2021 and has joined b4b Renewables in Aug 23, bringing significant sector experience in the application of renewable technologies in the built environment.

Mark Fraser

Daly Renewables – Commercial Director

Mark joined b4b renewables as our Commercial Director, overseeing Sales, business growth and partner alliances. Mark has over 20 years of corporate sales and business management experience in the technology sector. Having held roles with Vodafone, Acer and BT.

Most recently Mark was b4b Group Sales director since joining in 2019.

Gareth Thompson

Daly Renewables – Operations Director

Gareth joined b4b renewables as our operations Director, responsible for Installation, maintenance as well as project design & delivery. Gareth has a wealth of experience with 25 years plus in the Engineering & Technology sectors.

Most recently Gareth was Operations Director at b4b Group. Overseeing technical product delivery and strategic project management.

Brian Loughran

Daly Renewables – Financial Advisor

Brian has decades of experience raising capital and sourcing finance for businesses at all stages through his current role as MD in Carsena Investments and previous Corporate Finance roles in Radius CF, Cordovan and KPMG, as well as working in Bank of Ireland.

To date Brian has been involved in Equity, Senior Debt and alternative fund-raising enabling businesses to access more than £700m of capital. Brian has been a key advisor / Director to a range of early stage and well-established businesses in Northern Ireland and brings a wealth of experience in scaling business, governance and funding of business.

Jacqui Hillis

Daly Renewables – Office Manager

Jacqui Hillis joined Daly Renewables as office manager in January 2023 with responsibility for the daily administration within the business which includes customer service, new and existing business projects, supporting financial management and general support to the Renewables team.

Previous to this Jacqui was office manager at GPMI NI (formerly Reprocentre NI) for 15 years where she gained invaluable knowledge and experience on both commercial and operational matters working in the print industry.

As part of this role Jacqui was an important interface on customer service dealing with suppliers, clients and contractors on a daily basis.

Jacqui began her career in the travel industry which was the sound basis enabling her to build her outgoing, friendly and caring attitude with customers.

William O’Neill

Daly Renewables – Service & Commissioning Engineer

William joined b4b Renewables Ltd. in January 2024 as a Service & Commissioning Engineer.
He started out life as a mechanic and from there got into air conditioning,
refrigeration and renewables.

William has worked on numerous heat pump installations over the years and has great experience in trouble shooting and fault finding problems in both the domestic and commercial sector.

He loves a challenge, hence why he was keen to team up with the b4b Renewables team as they expand
their operations and also continue to provide an excellent backup and support service to their existing clients, dating back to 2007.

Frank Casey

Daly Renewables – Engineering Student

Currently studying a degree at Ulster University Magee campus in Renewable Energy Engineering
(B-ENG) with a very keen interest in the renewable aspects of Engineering.

Already with experience in the sector as I have worked on wind farms last year during the summer gaining hands on and theoretical experience. I have a very keen interest in sport and exercise such as Gaelic football, soccer, golf and going to the gym.
